Installations

These projects were submitted by customers upon completion of their own work. They show the same principle each time: a small grouping of patterned tile set into a larger field of plain tile becomes the focal point of a room.

How the Patterns Are Used

A field run whole

Embossed Field Tile

Ivy, Water, Vine, Lily Pad and Wave repeat across the joins, so a whole wall reads as one continuous surface rather than a grid of separate tiles.

A band at the edge

Border Tile

The Leaf and Bird Track borders at 3" x 6" close the top of a splashback or run as a chair rail where tile meets plaster.

A single accent

Picture Tile

One Deer, Magpie or Flounder tile set into an otherwise plain field, which is the least expensive way to change the character of a room.

An assembled scene

Backsplash Sets

The Seashore, Pond Life and Conch Shell sets are laid as one picture behind a counter or basin, sized from 6" x 24" up to 36" wide.

Planning a Wall

Mix and match the tile with other tile, granite, marble and stainless steel. The patterns do not come as a kit with instructions, and they are not meant to. Plain field tile in the same glaze colours is available at $44.00 a square foot for the surrounding area, which keeps a large wall affordable while the patterned tile carries the design.
